Dr Suzanne O’Sullivan

Dr O’Sullivan is a consultant clinical neurophysiologist and neurologist in full time NHS practice. Her current post is at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London, UK. Her clinical interests are epilepsy, blackouts, seizures, functional neurological and psychosomatic disorders.
She is the author of four books, including It’s All In Your Head which won the Wellcome Book Prize and the Royal Society of Biology General Book Prize. Her latest book, The Age of Diagnosis, was an instant Sunday Times bestseller and Radio 4 Book of the Week. Her writing is concerned with the wonders of the brain, the mind-body connection, psychosomatic disorders, psychology, medical overdiagnosis, overmedicalization and improving healthcare for all.
Dr O’Sullivan has appeared at festivals, on podcasts, radio and TV shows around the world, discussing her work and campaigning for better, more thoughtful healthcare.
